An athletic trainer helps athletes get ready to compete in their chosen sport. In Mickey Goldmill's case, this includes motivating Rocky by telling him things like: "You're gonna eat lightnin'; you're gonna crap thunder!" That's certainly inspiring.

His niece, Penny (who I had quite the crush on when I was a kid-got to love them cartoon honeys), does all the work.
