Forum Topic: ""Generic" colleges and deciding on a major or field of interest"

Post a new topic
As a junior, I am faced with choosing colleges and thinking about what to major in, but I happen to be insanely undecided. I know that quite a few people change their major, but do you know of any school that has academic programs in a variety of areas? For example, ranging from pre-med to psychology to drama and acting. I love every aspect of learning and do not want to limit myself to one focus. Any ideas on how I can decide what I want to be (forever and ever) or any "generic" colleges? Thanks! :)

(And just for the record, I am number one in my class, take AP classes, and am very involved in extra-curriculars, so I lack in the volunteering and work areas.)

Columbia Univ. is a good elite college to look at with a wide variety of majors and minors. Univ of Southern California I believe has more minors than any other university( why not work from a minor of interest to a major of interest)? Also look at large public schools like Univ. of Michigan. Hope this helps.

Look at the career where you can make the most money. Every job eventually becomes mundane. Money doesn't ensure happiness, but it definitely reduces the misery factor.
