Well, I just love my work: it keeps me calm and happy. I let my imagination reign; if I’m feeling blue, I paint a picture that reflects that, and if I’m in better spirits, then I paint some happy little clouds and a pleasant stream. As a painter you work whenever you feel like working, in fact, you will find that your best work comes when you want to paint, not when you force yourself to do so. Still, the artist is always at work, even if it doesn’t look like it to other people. You must be in constant study of the world around you, paying attention to details you may have never before noticed. So long as you have confidence in yourself you will be a sensational artist.
