Biologist: Exploring Life as a Career Choice.

Rating: 3/5 (64 ratings)
Introduction
If you Choose science, in particular biology, as a career, you will, in the words of Horace Mann, 'Be ashamed to die until you have won some victory for humanity.'

Job Function
A biologist/scientist has confidence in the knowledge of taking ownership in commerce that by its very nature supports life. Choose or combine teaching at all educational levels with developing drugs or inventing medical devices. The best part of my job is performing diverse functions. Part time is spent teaching allied health professionals, medical students & house staff. Developing medical devices is also a major effort. Gratification comes simply by having a student or a patient benefit directly or indirectly from your effort.
The worst part of my job is there is not a soundbite that defines it.

Lifestyle
A career in Biology allows you to balance active work hours among job & home. Health care opportunities are not geographically limited, especially where biological sciences are prerequisites. All personalities, mostly good communicators do well in the biological sciences.

Additional Information
Science & engineering are declining in the U.S. An exciting career awaits those who have the courage to leap into this rewarding opportunity. Just do it!
