As a business manager, you can work for a wide variety of companies, each of which will differ. If you manage a restaurant, the work will of course be different than if you manage a law office, but both of these establishments will need you. Just about every business needs a manager, but aside from details, the job is about the same no matter where you go. Of course, if you have been paying your way through business school as a cook, then you should probably try and work in a restaurant, since you have experience in food service and don’t need to be taught all the ins and outs of the establishment. But if you want to be at the law office, don’t feel constrained and think you’re stuck in a restaurant for the rest of your life: if you’re skilled as a business manager you are needed anywhere.
