Librarian: A Child and his Library Media Center

Rating: 0/5 (0 ratings)
Introduction
The rewarding part of being in the Media Center at school is seeing the child getting excited about books. Just watching the interaction between children, preschool through second grade, talking about what they liked about certain books and wanting to take out that book you just finished reading.

Job Function
The best aspect of the routine is seeing the children reading. The worst part of my job is having so many classes a day and not having a breather because of working between two schools.

Lifestyle
If choosing this occupation, you need to be very organized and to devote extra hours for the planning your day, ordering of books, inventories at each end of the school year and working with the staff for their needs of the Library Media Center.

Additional Information
This can be a very rewarding occupation for the right person. I have been at it for twenty years and have never felt the need to switch my position.
