Geologist: I Get My Rocks Off

Rating: 4/5 (16 ratings)
Introduction
I rock in the morning, I rock in the evening, and I rock in the afternoon. My whole life revolves around hard, dense, heavy amazing rocks. Rocks have been here before me and they will be here after me; with every day there is something new to learn about them. I work outdoors most of the time and that is a big plus. I get to see the earth in its simplest form. The best geologists would get lost in rocks.

Job Function
In sum, a geologist analyzes rock formations, interprets data from field research, and conducts massive rock studies. The movement of earth's rocks and the activity of the earth's plates plays a big part of some geologists lives. Some choose to have careers with the government or the oil and gas industry.
Lifestyle
It's all straightforward, you plus rocks equal you as a geologist. The job doesn't pay much, but we are all satisfied with the work we do.

Additional Information
The average geologist has a BS in geology or geophysics. To maintain success, these geologist go on to receive MAs and PhDs in advanced geological coursework. You'd be surprised at the work put into getting your rock degree. And yes, the rock jokes go on for days.
