Pharmacist: Easiest of the High Paying Jobs
Rating: 3.1/5 (68 ratings)
IntroductionBecoming a pharmacist is the most difficult aspect in being a pharmacist. The schooling is long and arduous, it’s intense: acquiring that Pharm.D. degree is no joke. Once you do, though, it becomes extremely easy. Once upon a time you had to know a whole lot of chemistry in order to mix and prepare drugs, now the pharmaceutical companies take care of that for you; you need only know the basics nowadays. You don’t even really have to count out the pills anymore since they’ve made machines to do it for you. The job is almost like that of a librarian, except that you catalogue and distribute drugs instead of books.
Job FunctionYou have to work with people, explain to them how and when to take their medicine (this is actually much more difficult then it sounds, you just try telling an 87 year old woman that she has to take a pill every four hours and see). You must keep track of patients and make evaluations on a drugs potency and efficiency, as well as how it interacts with other drugs and possible side-effects, so that you can explain exactly to the patient (as well as doctors and drug companies sometimes) what need be done.

LifestylePharmacists have it made: I work a set, easy schedule, and I make a great salary, with benefits. I work at a Pharmacy, but pharmacists can also find work at department and grocery stores as well as at general and surgical hospitals. The pay change depending on where you work is negligible: if you become a pharmacist, you can be sure to make a good buck.
Additional InformationDon’t become a pharmacist because you want access to drugs, you’re going to cause an onslaught of problems for yourself and others if you do.
great review, thank you so much! this really helped me. i want to study pharmacy in college. :)
