Museum Curator: Gallery Assistant

Rating: 3/5 (46 ratings)
Introduction
Always look cool and under control no matter how chaotic the day is. Do everything without being see. You are doing your best when the gallery is running and nobody knows how.

Job Function
The best is when we are setting up new shows and planning reception parties. The worst is when we have to stuff 2000 envelops all day long. I love being in such close proximity to ground breaking art, not just viewing it but handling it. The excitement of receiving the new shipment of art work and unpacking it, redeems all the pointless paper work and envelope stuffing.
Lifestyle
I am kind of an all work and all play person. I don't want much down time. I am either playing hard or working hard, there is hardly any sitting on my hands. My career offers flexible hours but location is pretty steady. Plenty of time to pursue other things.

Additional Information
This isn't exactly the job for the best artist but for the best critic. You should offer opinions but be so disgustingly polite all the time. Being a Gallery assistant is like being a personal assistant for every high roller that comes into your gallery.
