Pastor: Will the real people of God please stand up

Introduction
It is amazing how many churches we have. You can see two or three on every block. Still there are so many people that do not know God. Not only are there so many people that don't know God but there are many people who don't want to know him.

The truth is that the church seems to be lost and the world seems to have the love of God. My career as a Pastor amazes me. Its mind blowing sometimes, how off people can be.

I see so many people including pastors that think that ministry is a game. They seem to think it is a competition or some type of a race. Some find it to be a talent search or a fashion show. Everyday I am left wondering why I chose this field and what God must think of the mess that we have made of things.

However I know that he still believes in us. He still has faith that we will come to the knowledge of the truth that we will worship him in spirit and in truth.

God desires that we grow in grace and in knowledge of God. That his bride will began to resemble him. Everyone knows that when you have been with someone for some time you start to look like them, but i have noticed that the longer some of us are saved, it is the more that we don't look like him. It seems also that it is the less that we know about him.

One thing I love about my career is that everyone is not the same, and that their are some people that really love God and really love his people. There are some people that are really concerned about people's lives changing for the better.

There are some people that are really willing to sacrafice and to go all out, to make a difference for the world and the good of all mankind.

That I can say something or do something to make their world a better place

I hate that some people take this help for granted
I hate that some people try to tear you down and scandalize your name, just because your trying to do something for God. Advertisement
Lifestyle
It seems honestly that you can not escape the work of the ministry, that you can not get away from it. It is a job that doesn't end when you clock out. This job is so serious. It doesn't leave much room for play, but I still pick my days and do what I feel that I must do to be ok. I don't live far from the ministry that I pastor in. as a Pastor the job never ends so their is no particular schedule, but I do believe that if you truly love God and you love his people, then this is the job for you. After all someone has to watch the sheep. It is the good shepheard that lays down his life for the sheep. If you are just trying to find a way to make some money, this is not the job for you. Pastor's are some of the least paid people it is the most neglected profession. You do see productivity in other areas. When you see a soul won to Christ Jesus it does your heart good.

Additional Information
I believe that becoming a Pastor is not a Career that you choose but in a sense it chooses you. Jesus said you have not chosen me but i have chosen you. That you would go and bring forth fruit. Are you a chosen vessel.
