Introduction
The biggest piece of advice I ever gave to someone about speech pathology is that this career has many options. The age of the people that we treat ranges from infants to elders. This field also can work in hospitals, school, clinics, and even your own home.

Job Function
I enjoy the most working with people that are in need of my help. The worst thing is when the parents of children have anxiety because they are nervous about their child even having some kind of disorder or deficit. Advertisement
Lifestyle
It is all work because I am trying to help these people with their speech deficits, but it is also play for me because I enjoy working with people, especially children. This field is amazing with regard to flexible hours. The location is flexible as well because it is pretty much our choice where we work. The type of personality that would succeed in this career would be a bubbly, sociable, patient, and relaxed person who is willing to deal with any challenge.
