Introduction
Be prepared to work very hard for very little money. Still, you'll have a good time. You're life won't be 'Gossip Girls' but if you will probably end up at some parties where Matthew Perry is wandering around trying, and failing, to pick up girls.

Job Function
The best part is that I get to write pretty much every day. The worst part is producing articles for online publication which, although a useful skill, gets really boring and tedious sometimes.

Lifestyle
I work from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. every day, sometimes later and pretty much non-stop. There are also frequent events to attend at night, which are a mix of free drinks and the necessary smoozing. You don't have to be the most outgoing person in the world to work in New York media, although it certainly helps, but a genuine interest in people is absolutely required.

Additional Information
I have no complaints about my life. This is the greatest city in the world to be 25, although I wouldn't mind if the beach were closer.
