Don't get sued - guide to tax advisers and accountants

Description:
QUESTION: I have been an accountant for 28 years and I love it. Recently, I have noticed that there seems to be an increasing attitude to sue professional advisers (like accountants) when things don't work out. Even my long-term clients 'joke' that they'll sue me if my advice is wrong. I am thinking of retiring early because I don't want to get sued. I have found myself spending twice as long these days drafting advice as I used to. Clients want advice on matters over the telephone (you know, 'just a quick question') without paying for full considered advice. Should I get out of the game? Or am I losing sleep over nothing?
