Copywriter: Josie Geller (Never Been Kissed)
Copywriters work with ad campaigns to create snappy writing. These skills can also translate to copy editing, working with authors to edit their manuscripts. Josie, who no one seems to notice is much too old, infiltrates a high school so as to properly know what high school life is like as a popular person, and then write about it.

Marketing Manager: It's a long way to the middle, if you want to rock and roll
Long ago, I asked a wise Vice President what his definition of success was. He replied, "Learn and then do those things you are not presently skilled at doing." His initials formed the acronym AGE and for the next year, I wrote that little saying down every month on my desk calendar. At the end of the day, you have to work hard, often harder than the next person, and desire to learn more about how to help the company/organization. It ultimately becomes 'servant leadership'.

Advertising Art Director: Every Time You Like at an Ad, You See Me
Create work that stands out. Also, experiment with different styles. Show people that you can do different things. Listen carefully to clients and problem solve in a creative fashion. Sometimes small adjustments make all the difference. Like many industries, advertising is a small universe. Keep good relations with the people you work with and for.
