Getting licensed to be an appraiser is a breeze: you attend a class, it takes a couple of weeks, and then you take a test, which is easy if you paid any attention in the class. The job is to estimate the value of a piece of real estate, assess property tax, confirm that a person has adequate collateral for mortgages, and other such things. I�m not quite a real estate agent and not quite a banker, but somewhere in between the two.
