Marquette: Dorm visitation policy worth not attending school for
Marquette is great if you're 21 and not living in the dorms. However, not only is it impossible to drink in the dorms without eventually getting caught, but the dorm visitation policy makes Marquette not worth attending. Fact: opposite sex cannot be in your room after 1am on weekdays and 2am on weekends (also no overnight). Opinion: This is THE WORST visitation policy I have EVER experienced. It's such a hassle and they actually have someone at the door at all times enforcing the rule. If your 1...

NYU: Stay Away for your own sake
I chose this because it was the best school I made. I regret this decision everyday. I have one semester left and I am excited to graduate, leave NYC, and live the rest of my life in California.

Marist: Marist College
I really enjoy Marist College. There are so many ways to get involved in campus life. It's fit for any type of person.

BYU - Brigham Young: BYU is a great school, but not without its challenges
So I'm from New York and the church was incredibly small where I was, so I figured I'd apply to the school to be around more members (this seems to be the common reason). When I got there it was a lot more than I bargained for. I wouldn't say don't come if you're a "rebel" or a "liberal", I'd say the vast majority aren't either of those, but you can find both on BYU's campus. There are 30,000 students and it's ridiculous to say you can't find someone. If you join organizations like the BYU Democ...

University of Dayton: You Will Love It
I chose the University of Dayton because when I visited I had so much fun and immediately felt like I belonged there. If you're considering Dayton be sure to check out the Ghetto at around 10 to 11 pm. You will have a blast. It is also a really challenging school and will help you learn a lot. Don't come here if you don't like to meet new people; you literally meet someone knew everyday.

Northwestern: Horrible social scene, great academics
People that should stay away from this school? Anyone who was not a huge dork in high school, and anyone who had a decent social life and likes to party... the parties/the general social scene here is LAME. the most "crazy" people here are like ehh average fun. i chose northwestern because i thought it had the best of both worlds... to be honest it doesnt. evanston is a little lame coming from a big city, but its okay. chicago is NOT accessible to be perfectly honest. on the weekends it takes at...

UCLA: Bruin Pride
I absolutely love everything about this place. However, because it is so huge, definitely join a club or group of some sort to have close friends. UCLA doesn't have a "party school" reputation, but you could easily find somewhere to party any day of the week if you really want to. The hardest thing to do is balance academics with social activities.

Kettering: KU
It's a very challenging school, and you need to be focused in the math and sciences. It's a great school that really prepares you for the future

University of South Alabama: USA ! Go Jags!
If you are considering the University of South Alabama, you may be pleasantly surprised to find that, unlike the comments I've heard about some other colleges in Alabama, we have a great deal of diversity. There are students from all over the world who attend this college, not because we're famous or anything, though. I really don't know what the appeal is, besides affordability, but I've met plenty of people from various cultural backgrounds. International students apparently like this college ...

Virginia Tech: vtech is awesome
First of all i would like to say that some of the ratings for vtech are not true. The rating for food/housing was not good which is not true at all. Just last year, vtech was number one in the country for food and consistently ranked in the top 3 in the country. Secondly, the quality of housing is also very good and we were always building new dorms which are pretty sweet.

University of Michigan: What about acting?
None of the reviews on here yet acknowledge the stellar theater program at the University of Michigan, that's going to be my focus. LSA is alright, but the School of Music, Theater, and Dance is a whole different boat. If acting is what you're after, U of M is a really good bet. Although U of M isn't a conservatory school, its theater programs offer many conservatory style classes. Its good for the student who wants to pursue acting but also wants a to double major or take in a wider world of th...

Pomona: A more realistic review
Your are often going to hear that the best thing about Pomona is the people. Please actually come and meet the people before you come here. If you don't like them, you cannot easily avoid them. I chose it because of its academic standing. All Republicans or people who don't care about the environment shouldn't apply. I'm a liberal and even I get fed up with the liberal bias here. We have stereotypes for Pomona and the four other colleges nearby. We say our stereotype is a brillant, well rounded,...
