UMass - Amherst: = <3
This school is amazing. It was my first choice school. I chose it because it was cheap, i live 90 minutes away, it's a party school, but you also get a great education. People just need to learn how to balance school work and partying. It's really not that hard to do. I go out every weekend (thurs-sat) and still managed to make the dean's list both semesters last year. Just get your work done. You gotta work hard to play hard. You have to think about the money your wasting not doing good in scho...

Ball State: BSU Review
BSU is a school specialized in a few majors. If you live in Indiana, and want to go into Communications, Education, Architecture, Exercise Science, there is no better university in the state. BSU is very welcoming, and we have a very diverse population

WSU: WSU Review
WSU was the only school in the state which offered my major (nanotechnology). I expected it to be a walk in the park as far as grades go b/c WSU has a rep for being a huge party school. However do NOT come here if you don't expect to work your butt off. If you're a science/pre-med/engineering major, set the parties aside because the rest of your life at wsu, you'll be studying if you want to survive (get out with a decent gpa). This is a school were the business/comm/psych majors are the only ...

Creighton: Creighton University - a great place to live and learn
I chose to come to Creighton because of its size, good premed program, location, Catholic identity, and affordability.

UC Berkeley: JUST BE READY FOR IT
From what I have heard, other schools seem to be harder than Berkeley, but I personally think that this is a misconception, having lived at UC Berkeley for the past month and a half. The science, yes, are extremely difficult; u get all those people trying to get into premed, etc who need the grades in those classes so the distribution of grades is wide because the teachers are hard. But, if you are planning to go into social sciences: econ, language, asian american studies, political science... ...

Cal State Chico - CSU Chico: An extension of high school
Cheap and easy. If you want a good time, go to Chico. If you want a good education go elsewhere.

Dartmouth: College on the Hill
If you get bored easily, are into nature or don't mind a scenic backdrop over bright city lights, and are a type A student, and enjoy partying as much as you do studying, then Dartmouth is surely the place for you.

Cal State Long Beach - CSULB: Great value
I mainly chose this school because I didn't think it was cost effective to spend 20K as a transfer student at a UC. I later intend to get my MBA at a prestigious school, where I expect to see the pay difference, but as a 22 year old graduate, I didn't think a UC would make much difference in my starting salary.

Florida State: In response to "There is such a thing as too much partying"
Listen, you ignorant son of a b!tch, if you're going to write an article bashing the education of native Floridians that attend Florida State University, then maybe you should learn how to write yourself. And I quote, "Everyone I have met have been very nice and friendly." Grammatically, this sentence makes no sense. Yet again, "Other than the campus, there is not much to do but get absolutely and the city of Tallahassee is so small." What exactly is "getting absolutely"? "Good luck finding "you...

Webb Institute: Naval Architecture
Advice to a college student...This school is specialized and its tough. However, you can make time for what you like (sports, hobbies...etc.) and the dual degree of naval architecture/marine engineering is really broad and gives you an understanding of all the systems involved in ships, making it applicable to many other fields. I chose to apply to Webb because of the field of study. Not everyone applies for this reason. Some students don't know anything about boats before they come here, an...

University of Arkansas Fayetteville: Big enough to have it all, small enough to feel like home
The most important thing to do is visit campus before you decide. I was on the fence about the UofA and had scholarship offers from a couple private schools to consider, but after I visited the school I realized that it had what I was looking for academically, and more importantly, I could picture myself here for four years.
TTU - Texas Tech: Get Your Guns UP!!
My biggest piece of advice to incoming freshman is to have an open-mind about West Texas. West Texas is a different kind of Texas. Lubbock ,TX is a different kind of Texas . Lubbock,TX is where Texas Tech University is. The climate is 4 seasons(Literally!!)it is one of the only places in Texas that have 4 seasons. Around late October, early Nov.-March it's get's cold. It actually snows in Dec-Feb. very randomly.usually February and March being the months with the highest chance of snow. Get ready...

High Point: Up to date HPU review.
High Point University is not the same school it was four years ago. Maybe three at that. The incoming Freshman class as a whole has a much higher GPA than 3 years ago. The average SAT score has nearly doubled, and more and more students are coming in with AP credit and top notch credentials. Some of the reviews here are old and outdated and basically describe HPU circa 2005/2006. I'm going to give you an honest, and up to date review of HPU, so lets begin!
