If you are from the north, DON'T go here. Im from outside of Boston and I wanted to do something different and go down south. I wanted to join a frat and have big time college football, Auburn has all of this. But this is the deep south and people are very hardcore here. Stay away if you are liberal, hate football, don't like greeks, dont have a truck, or like to wear dresses and pearls. And I repeat If you are from the North, stay away.

I chose Auburn because of their excellent engineering program, and I, like most students here, have family history here. The biggest piece of advice I would give an incoming student is to buckle down and be serious about school. There is always something happening at Auburn, and it takes a serious student to buckle down during the week. Someone who is vulnerable to giving in to peer pressure should avoid Auburn.

My biggest piece of advice is to get involved in something. We are in the middle of nowhere and you will find it very difficult to have fun on your own. As for choosing schools, not gonna lie, the only reason i applied here is because my entire family is Alabama crazy. If you're not a partier or if you are really looking for a challenging academic life, this is not the school for you.

Come to Auburn ready to have fun, get an education, and see some kick ass football. Auburn provides students with an excellent balance of academics and partying. If you don't know how to have a good time, Auburn might not be the place for you.
