I chose BSU because I have family here and in the end I would have less to pay back to my loans after graduation. BIG mistake! When choosing a college to attend, probably one of the most important aspects to think about are the areas in which the university is actually well known for. If you have a major in mind, then thats great but you should also keep this in mind for your intended minors as well since I have never known a single freshmen who didn't chang their major at least once. The campus may seem big at first, but all the buildings are one central area, and you can walk from one end of campus to the other. The cost is fairly affordable. So far, I have not really been challenged in any of my classes. If you are an independent thinker, Ball State would not be the best choice.
