Bates College: Little Town, Lots of Fun
Although Lewiston, Maine might not be the most glamourous college town, not to worry: there is plenty to do on campus. It might be hard to imagine, but everyone here is extremely friendly and nice. We live in the "Bates Bubble" and we love it. A great majority of the students are either varsity or club athletes or involved in the arts (choir/orchestra/theatre), so perhaps that's why it doesn't bother us that Lewiston doesn't have much to offer as a town. Bates College: Don't Come Here If You Like Fun
I chose Bates because I thought a small....very small... liberal arts college would be the best thing for me. Bates has only 1700 students, so it's about as small as they come. The academics that are offered are mostly very good, however the size of the school severely limits the range of courses that can be offered.
