Many people have the misconception that once you enter through the gates of Bryn Mawr you'll never see the male sex ever again. NOT TRUE!!!! Many boys from Haverford a.k.a. Haverboys and Swarthmore come to BMC to attend classes, events, parties, and a lot come just to eat at our dinning halls. The fact that BMC is an all-womens school should not be the reason you decide not to go there, in fact, it should be the reason why you decide to attend. Bryn Mawr: Great Atmosphere but Lots of Work!
The biggest piece of advice I would give to a high school student considering Bryn Mawr is to expect work...a lot of work. I choose Bryn Mawr because it has a great atmosphere. People are very competitive with themselves, not with others. A student who thinks that college is about skipping class and not being prepared for discussions should steer clear of Bryn Mawr. It's hard to slip through the cracks here.

Get over the fact that it's a women's college. It's not that big a deal. There are boys in every single one of my classes. If you choose Bryn Mawr, you're choosing a school for the right reasons. The classes here are outstanding. There's literally something for everyone. If you're a student who LIKES school because you have an honest interest in learning, this is the college for you.
