Cal State Long Beach - CSULB: Great value
I mainly chose this school because I didn't think it was cost effective to spend 20K as a transfer student at a UC. I later intend to get my MBA at a prestigious school, where I expect to see the pay difference, but as a 22 year old graduate, I didn't think a UC would make much difference in my starting salary.

First thing I gotta say is this: IT'S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD. Not getting into UCLA does not necessarily equate to the end of your life. I know kids who got into Berkeley and UCLA but chose to go to LBSU because, "it's more chill"...Long Beach is highly underrated both academically and socially.

The main reason I chose this school is because my friend begged me to go here with her. It was far enough away, but still close enough to come home and visit on weekends. It is a good school if you like walking a lot: especially if you live in the dorms. You need to learn the schedule of the busses if you are lazy like me! Its really diverse which is kind of cool, new students can easily meet a lot of new people.
