The biggest piece of advice to give to high school students is that if you want to go to college were you can get a great education and also have the best time of your entire life, come to Central were there is a party everyday and everyone is always welcome. But, if you're a kid who loves the big city life, I would not choose Central. We are a small town, but we party pretty big!

CMU is considered a "party" school to everyone in the state. But guess what? EVERY school is a party school! Yeah, it used to be a huge one many, many years ago, and yes, we students still know how to have a good time. Central Michigan - CMU: A Mixed Bag
Think long and hard about whether you want to go to school here. Keep in mind it's pretty much in the middle of nowhere. That means if you need to go to the mall every weekend, you'd better have a car or a sympathetic friend. Quite frankly, the only reason I'm going here is because it was the cheapest. The beauty of Central is that any personality type can fit in here. There is a little of something for everyone, and class size is about perfect. Professors are passionate about their subjects, and it really shows when they go out of their way to help students.

Central Michigan - CMU: The truth about Central Michigan University
Central Michigan University is located in “beautiful” Mount Pleasant, Michigan (approximately one hour north of the state capital of Lansing and one hour from the tri-cities of Bay City, Midland, and Saginaw). If you’re considering a career or degree in education, journalism, library studies, or music this should be one of your first considerations, other than that, I would avoid it.

Moderate size student body, but individualized attention. Moderately priced.

Central Michigan - CMU: CMU ROCKS
I give CMU a definite A in my book. I chose it because I got a scholarship and I wanted a school that was smaller than MSU and farther away from my hometown. I chose it over Western because it has more of a campusy feel and is closer to rural areas rather than a concrete block.
