College Overview: Colby

Colby: Small, Friendly, Fun.
Colby is small, so make sure that you like an atmosphere where you basically know everyone. I like it that way, but if you want a big school in which you go out at night and know only five people, Colby isn't for you. If you like the friendly atmosphere where you know everyone, then it is good. Colby is also a great place to go for athletics. Colby: I love Colby
I chose Colby because it felt like home. Now I don't want to graduate. Pretty much everyone can fit in here... except perhaps people with absolutely no sense of humor. Tidbits you'll need to know: if a student says "Bob's" he/she means Roberts, The Street is the bottom floor of the library, Frat Row isn't really frats (well, it used to be, but isn't anymore), the theater's haunted (but every theater has its ghost), and it gets COLD in the winter. Very, VERY cold.

Colby: The Good, the Bad and the Bubble
I chose Colby because I knew it would provide both a quality education and a liberal, open-minded environment. Students who don't want to experience new ideas or be intellectually challenged should stay away from Colby.

Colby: Good place, for the most part
Colby is a great school for kids wanting to work hard/play harder. The teachers here are excellent and the campus is beautiful. On the negative side, if you are used to having a city nearby, forget about it. Colby kids pretty much stay on campus except for Wal-Mart trips. Also, you read that it is in Maine but that doesn't really express the coldness. I'm from Massachusetts and it still surprised me. Pack warm, but remember to bring your slutty party clothes for the weekends.
