Colorado State: Not a Big City School
Colorado State is a fun, friendly campus with lots of opportunities to get involved. Many people come here because of the variety of outdoor activities close to campus. This may not be your place if you don't like being outside or people who talk about agriculture, it's not a big city kind of place. Since it's a pretty big school, there are lots of opportunities to pursue what you're passionate about, but as a big public campus, there is a lot of competition to deal with. As for...

Colorado State: I LOVE CSU!
Go to CSU if you want a real Colorado feel. I came here from the East coast because I wanted to be in CO and be with CO people. Boulder has so many out of staters that I could have run into people I know. If you dont mind being a tiny bit farther from the rockies and a more rural feel of campus CSU is amazing!

Colorado State: Eh...
Go to a community college first, then go to CSU! I pretty much chose CSU arbitrarily. I knew it was either going to be CU or CSU and, well, I went with CSU. The campus and town aren't as good looking as CU but the chicks are. And besides, it's cheaper than CU. It is cheaper to live in Fort Collins than in Boulder, too. The engineering school is pretty good at CSU, as well, though maybe not quite as good as CU. From what I hear, though, the professors and TA's are a lot more available...

Colorado State: Not the Best...
I chose Colorado State because it was a better alternative to going to an in-state, public school than attending Boulder. I wasn't impressed from the start; registering for classes is always a big issue due to high enrollment and not enough teachers, the buildings are from the 60's and don't create a feeling of home at all, and the dorms (Corbett Hall) felt like a prison with terrible heating/cooling issues. I graduated from high school early, expecting to attend college with peopl...

Colorado State: A Good Mix
It is a good mix of actual Colorado students. It is the only state school that is not full of California hippies(CU), and does not smell like cow shit everyday(UNC). Kids that want an urban setting or alot of ethnic diversity should not go to CSU.

Colorado State: Awesome!
If you are considering Colorado State... good for you. You have decided to look into a school that is amazing. I chose State myself for several reasons. The first is the location- Fort Collins is awesome. While being a big town, it retains a small town feel, and the people are so nice and friendly. Another reason I chose C State is the school... we have amazing programs, small classes, and great professors. The entire experience is amazing. Anyone can come to CSU, regardless of race or pr...

Colorado State: Pretty Sweet!
The school is a great value for what you get. We're strong in Engineering and Business, and really strong in Microbiology and Chemistry. If you're into the outdoors, any school in Colorado should be your dream school. It's not a huge school, but it's not small either at 25,000 students.

Colorado State: The Best of the Midwest
I chose CSU because of its close proximity to many outdoor activities, such as rafting, hiking, rock climbing, and snowboarding. I also chose it because of its academics. I would stay away from CSU if you aren't really into being outdoors and don't like to party.
