I currently attend FIU and let me tell you it is the best decision I have ever made. Everyone is nice and informative. The class work is great and being in Miami there is host of opportunities to get an internship while at school so you can make connections before you graduate.

FIU: FIU is the Best Choice
Welcome to Golden Panther country located in the heart of Miami only 11 miles away from our rivals University of Miami. FIU has a large student body (35,000+) with over 100,000 alumni which translate to a great deal of connections in the job marketplace once you graduate.

FIU: Best decision I ever made
The best thing about FIU is that it gives you the Miami lifestyle College Experience without having to pay around $30,000 at the University of Miami (which is only about a 15 minute drive away). For High School students in Miami, going to FIU means you will get the University atmosphere you can't find at Miami-Dade College and you won't be needing to take out student loans and work full time to pay off your tuition for UM.

Incoming freshman should definitely put FIU on their list of schools to consider if they plan on continuing their education in Florida, particularly in Miami. I chose FIU because of its esteemed and nationally-recognized Business programs and soon found out that most of the programs here are nationally-recognized and on par with other top-notch schools such as the University of Florida and University of Miami. FIU: Choose Your Own Adventure
Two pieces of advice I'll offer: visit the campus before applying to check out the size, classes, landscape, party scene, food, etc. And if you do decide this place is for you, APPLY EARLY. And once you're here, figure out your classes and schedule as soon as possible: in a school with 35,000 students, classes are bound to fill up, and QUICK!

START EARLY, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL THE REQUIRED PAPERS AND GRADES STUDENTS WHO JUST WANT TO GO TO COLLEGE AND NOT WANT TO REALLY WORRY ABOUT GRADES AND JUST TO HAVE FUN THIS IS NOT THE COLLEGE FOR YOU.
