College Overview: Florida State

Florida State: A school that provides the doors to be opened
Florida State has a beautiful campus with GOOD academics as opposed to the "ratings" given on this site saying it's academics are average while UCF and New College and USF and FAU are "solid" academics even though those colleges are third tier rated schools and FSU is first tier.

Florida State: There is such thing as too much partying
There are more cops in Tallahassee than in the entire United States...or at least it seems like that. Honestly be very careful what you do and where you do it. The biggest piece of advice I would give someone would have to be: make sure you know what you want out of this school so you can make the most and best of your experience while you are here. Florida State is a wonderful place to come and get an education. The teachers here are unbelievably supportive. They are also knowledgable if you have any questions or get completely turned around... Florida State: FSU Blues
If you are an elementary education major DO NOT go to Florida State!!! I'll spare you the details of my horrifying experience, but let's just say that after a semester of headaches and a load of BS from the administration, I gave up trying to get into the program and left the university to go back home. Florida State: Never go home for the summer
Come here for preview in the spring time and you'll be hooked, though make sure you confirm admission early or it may be difficult to get housing. Florida State: Perfect Mix of Social and School
Florida State is a big enough school that there is anything you want to do, but small enough that you can walk from class to class and see people you know. It is truly a southern school with everyone saying hello and always someone available for questions. If you want a school that is just academics and nothing else, then Florida State isn't for you! Florida State: A Drinking School
FSU is a drinking school. While I was there the football team was subpar but the drinking was unbelievable. Its academics are decent, some departments are pretty good, others suck. If you can get Bright Futures you should go there. UF is supposedly a better school academically but I didn't like it because UF and Gainesville in general reminded me of high school. Florida State: Home of the Seminoles
Florida State is an awesome school. There really is room for all kinds of people at this university, but it definitely helps to be outgoing. There are clubs and extracurricular organization for all walks of life from knitting to pro-hemp groups. I chose the school for its reputation as a "fun" school, and for the almost complete lack of winter (maybe only two weeks below 50).

Florida State: Not bad if you know what you're getting into
I chose this school mainly because I knew its education was pretty decent and a good group of my friends were going here.
