College Overview: JMU - James Madison

JMU - James Madison: The bubble I call heaven
I chose this school based on the feeling I got on the tour. I was accepted into all my schools and half of them were rated higher than JMU. However once I stepped foot on campus I knew this was the school for me. NO REGRETS! So my advice is definitely check out all the schools you are looking at and go with your gut.

JMU - James Madison: JMU is a mixed bag.
If you're a truly intellectual, thoughtful person who doesn't like being around kids whose GPAs average below 3.0, stay away from JMU. There are a lot of people here who you'll consider big dumb jocks, and they'll make your life miserable if you let them. But if you're more athletically inclined, you'll find much to love about JMU. JMU - James Madison: Good School, Great Parties
I chose this school because I am a guy and the girl/guy ratio is ridiculously awesome. The professors seem pretty understanding for the most part and I haven't had a bad one (or overly challenging) one yet. Having said that, you do need to pay a moderate amount of attention in class or you'll fall behind. JMU - James Madison: JMU Rocks
JMU was not my first choice, but I don't regret the decision to come here at all. Any visit to this campus will show you the quality of people who attend this school. I've never met such a collection of genuinely nice, happy people in my life: everyone's thrilled to be here. If you think you're "too good" for The REAL University of Virginia, stay away. We like to leave the arrogant students to UVA and Tech.
