Lehigh kids are leaders. Four year letter winners, school presidents, team captains, band leaders, chess champions, valedictorians. The kid at your school that does EVERYTHING and ANYTHING and still has time to get amazing grades and even still, has enough time to get shit-faced drunk on the weekend without sacrificing anything, is the Lehigh kid.

Lehigh: Good Old Lehigh
Definitely visit first and make sure you feel like you fit in with the student body. The campus is by far the most beautiful I've ever seen, the academics are among the highest rated in the nation (College of Business and Economics just got ranked #18 in the country by Business Week), and the professors really care about the students. Don't come here if you're not willing to work for it. It is extremely challenging, but extremely rewarding.

Lehigh: Smart Conservatives Unite
At Lehigh, you will get a fantastic education from professors who care about you as a student. In terms of the student body, this is a somewhat conservative population and liberal-minded students are definitely a minority.

I learned SO MUCH while I was at Lehigh in the late 1990's- of course academically, but also about myself. Lehigh provides so many opportunities for you to develop as a person. I would say that you have to be ready to work your ass off and deal with a lot of social cliques (but this comes with every school) I chose Lehigh because of its reputation, traditions and strong alumni ties. I think our campus is beautiful and we have awesome school spirit. Looking back now as a senior, I feel I made an awesome choice, I wouldn't have picked another school to spend my college years.

I chose Lehigh based upon its excellent national reputation and excellent spread of strong Engineering, Arts, Sciences, and Business. They offer excellent financial support packages (ultimately the kicker that brought me to Bethlehem).

Lehigh: A great foundation for the future
I chose Lehigh because of its great reputation for both academia and social life. It was amazing to be surrounded by such intelligent classmates that also knew how to let loose at the end of the day. The Engineering and Science programs are incredible. The Business program is making progress, but still has a ways to go.

Advice: Learn to like stairs and hills a lot. Practice using the same foot to go up and down stairs. Be prepared to work hard and play hard. Understand that you will be joining the Lehigh Family. Lehigh: Lehigh Alumnus
Lehigh is a small research univeristy. It encourages cross disciplinary studies and is flexible with regard to switching colleges. Because the College of Arts and Sciences serves the other two colleges as well, the Arts and Sciences faculty is larger compared to the number of students in that college. Lehigh: Lehigh prepares you for the real world
I chose Lehigh for its academic excellence. I felt well prepared when I graduated and entered the workforce. The univeristy is a nice size, not too big and not too small. There is a real sense of community amongst students as well as faculty and staff. It is geographically well located: close to Philadelphia and NYC, but not in a city so that students leave campus on the weekends.

Lehigh: Best undergraduate experience
The biggest piece of advice I can give anyone when looking at a school is to do your research. People don't put enough time and energy into where they are going to spend the next four years of their lives, and that's a hefty investment. People need to look at the big picture. Lehigh is very diverse, though some will try to tell you otherwise. There is something for everyone here, and if it doesn't exist, the University makes it easy to get something new going.

Lehigh challenges you academically, especially if your pursue engineering. So be ready to make some choices when it comes to balancing work and play. The greek life is strong and very popular, but it's not the only social option. If you join a house, expect to live there for at least two years. Administration determines occupancy minimums that must be met in order for houses to maintain recognition on campus.

Lehigh has always been a work-hard play-hard school. Be prepared for your professors to push you, and be prepared to party with your friends.

If you want to learn how to learn, learn how to lead, and connect yourself with 60,000 loyal alumni (JOBS!!!)... then this is the place for you.

Lehigh: Party hard, work hard
Want a great recognized degree in four years, smaller campus, greek life, hole in the wall cheap drink bars, and just an all around crazy time? Lehigh is perfect. If you hate the cold, not the best choice. If you are interested in business or engineering, definetly a good choice. I chose Lehigh for the beautiful campus, the crazy parties multiple nights in a row, the smaller campus so you can actually see people you know walking around, and the greek life.

Lehigh: I Hate Lehigh
I chose Lehigh because I recieved a great scholarship here, but I really hate it. The student body is self-absorbed and there is a huge amount of partying. Everyone joins a sorority or a fraternity, so if you don't want to go Greek, do not go here. Also, there is a huge focus on engineering and if you aren't going into engineering, the engineers will look down on you.

Lehigh: More than just a degree...
I chose it because of the balance of academics and fun. This institution gives more than just a degree. It gives life-long friendships. Students that should stay away from this school include people that have no willpower, or motivation to learn.

It's a difficult school academically, but well well worth the effort. I would suggest an interview as I believe it is vital to the process. Lehigh made the adjustment for me personally very easy. And yes, I would definitely attend Lehigh if I had to do it again without a doubt. Lehigh's education is far superior to many of the IVY's I believe as I felt better prepared working with IVY grads in my first job in an investment banking program.
