College Overview: LIU-CW Post

LIU-CW Post: 4th Tier Education with a 1st Tier Pricetag
A complete and utter mess. Quite frankly, my biggest advice to any high school students or potential transfers would be to NOT apply. The professors for the most part have phD's which is a plus but asides from that, there really is nothing to gloat about. C.W. Post is currently ranked as a 4th tier school, yet the tuition rivals that of top tier schools. Take Rice University for example which is ranked number 17 by US News. LIU-CW Post: Transfered after the first semester
Unless you are from long island this school might not be for you. I came from lower westchester and relized the first day that everyone already knew each other because for the most part they all went to school with each other. Obviouly you can make friends if you look but you need to be very out going and involve yourself to the fullest and even then it might be hard.

LIU-CW Post: Why I Transferred
I chose C.W. Post because I thought the dance major would be exactly what I needed to succeed in the dance world. I also thought that the campus was beautiful and that it would be nice to be close to home (I'm from Long Island).

LIU-CW Post: Good for Fine Arts, that's about it.
Do not come to this school for college fun. Do not come to this school for a well run institution. Come to this school for whatever your major is. If you want to become immersed in a liberal arts major, research the department here and see if it is for you. All the fine arts programs are amazing. Everything else is poorly run.
