College Overview: Marquette

Marquette: Good school, iffy location.
MU offers great academics, but the surrounding area is a major turn off for many potential students. The city is pretty run down; lots of beaten and abandoned buildings and old factories. And the school itself is in a bad part of town. It may be a culture shock for some.

Marquette: Love All Around
Coming from a Jesuit high school in the middle of a big city, I found Marquette to be the perfect school for me. I had looked at various other colleges back in my home state of Ohio, yet nothing seemed right...until I visited Marquette and fell in love. I'm not the only one. I have yet to find a student that is not happy at Marquette. The people I know who have left have done so for purely financial reasons. No worries though -- MU's Financial Aid Office will do their best to help...
