Miami University is almost like two different schools. Stereotypes abound at this school- people here are hopelessly hip and 75% of the people on this campus look exactly like everyone else. However, if you can ignore the Miami girls and prep/jock guys, there are wonderful people here at Miami. It seems like everyone here is an extreme- extremely nice, friendly and mature, or extremely self-centered, fashion concious, and immature. With all that said, I'm glad I came to Miami.

The students of Miami seem to be the type of people I was used to and I felt that I could fit in here. People who should stay away from Miami are people who aren't willing to get out and meet new people and try new things. If you are seriously looking for a place with strong academics, along with a big party/bar scene, then Miami University is the place for you. Miami has been published as a "public ivy", which at times you can tell by the course load. A degree from this university is highly looked upon by job recruiters, which is why the university has a very high job placement rating. There is always something to do uptown at night no matter what day of the week it is as well.
