College Overview: OSU - Ohio State

OSU - Ohio State: OSU rocks!
You really need to be ready to be lost at the biggest school in the country. If you work hard, you can make OSU into a small place, but if you're just going to party, you will never graduate. I chose OSU because I didn't want the typical East Coast school, but academics were important to me. I was in the honors program, which is really first rate. OSU has absolutely everything any student could ever look for from research to sports and clubs.

OSU - Ohio State: Huge, Sporty School
First off, you need to visit this campus. The campus is HUGE and you need to make sure you would feel comfortable on such a large campus. Second, this campus is crazy about sports (especially Football), so you have to be able to at least tolerate the fact the main topic of conversation on campus is athletics. Because Ohio is made up of so many "small towns," Ohio State is the perfect school to give young adults an opportunity to explore life in a city, while maintaining their roots in their hometowns. I chose Ohio State because I was given the opportunity to meet people who were different then me. I also chose Ohio State because I was able to study soooo many different subjects, and because it was far enough away from home that I could be independent but close enough that I could still go home. OSU - Ohio State: Great City!
Ohio State is a great school to come to. Not only do you have great sports and a great school to go to, the city is great. There is nothing that you can't find to do. This school is full of diverse people so its nothing like Miami Of Ohio where you have to "pop" your collar.

OSU - Ohio State: Proud to Be a Buckeye
OSU has something for everyone. That's the best. If you can't find it here, I doubt you'll find it anywhere. The location is central. But the weather can get cold and snowing.

OSU - Ohio State: I'd Rather be at the University of Michigan
I do think that OSU is a hard school to get in to, but its best with any school to take AP classes in High school at get good test scores. I choose OSU as a fall back school to Uni of Michigan. OSU has all the majors that I was considering: Architecture, Visual Communication Design, Industrial Design, and Interior Design. Most colleges don't have all of these programs. OSU - Ohio State: Awesome School
It is a big SCHOOL, but is also a school big on spirit! Class sizes may be big in your freshman year, but the Buckeye pride will hold you through. Classes in your remaining years get smaller. This school is a great place to learn and live.

OSU - Ohio State: Love Life
You can find the love of your life and you can just find you know, someone to hang out with, enjoy spending time with. In the four years I’ve been here, I’ve kind of had both; I’ve had the loves of my life and the loves for the night.

OSU - Ohio State: Melting Pot
Yeah, you should definitely live on dorms your first year. Weather you want to your second year or not – it’s up to you. You first year, that’s really where you make your best friends. All the people I hung out with my freshman year I’m still really good friends with and I’m probably going to be friends with them forever. OSU - Ohio State: It's a Factory
When you first come here as a freshman that’s really what you’re stuck into is the larger classes and as your starting specific into what major, then your classes start to get a little smaller.

OSU - Ohio State: STORMY WEATHER
Although people do come here assuming that it is going to be easy, assuming that they’re not going to have to work hard, because it is a “Party School”, you definitely see a lot more people studying and working for their classes than you do going out and getting wasted every night.

OSU - Ohio State: Football!
About 100,000 people can fit in the stadium, and about 250,000 show up on game day just to tailgate. For a typical student, game day on Saturday at Ohio State, you’re going to need to get up from 6 to 8 in the morning, go to bars and start drinking for Kegs and Eggs, so people get drunk at the wee hours and eat some eggs and that buzz should carry you into the game and hopefully it’s early, around noon, so you can enjoy the festivities in a drunken stupor and be home to pass out by 5, take a...
