Penn State: Penn State
At first, Penn State wasn't even on my list of school's to visit. I came to visit my friend who went here and he took me out to experience the school and I fell in love with the school. It had a gorgeous huge campus, a cute downtown area, and fun weekends. I believe that anyone can really love Penn State, but if you love your home town and can't meet new people easily and won't try to, its hard to enjoy this school. It is important to join clubs and stay busy because if not, people can just r...

Penn State: Its a good palace
I made an honor achievement, but everything was about to consider myself, I made C's, D's on my report card, I was the better student in high tech assignment that I focus on. I chose the school, but I cannot select in state school, I hate going to school in georgia, because I dislike having to go to a tech school, because it ruined. Well, my pal was a valedictorian in her class, but she a type of four year in this class in a black school, she transfer no where required.

Penn State: It's all about Joe Pa
I feel as though I could give the best advice to any high school student considering Penn State because it was my fifth choice school while a senior in high school. After one year here, I can honestly say I could not see myself anywhere else. If considering this school I would first say, don't come to just party. While Penn State is currently the number two party school in the nation, we also take academics seriously. Alot of kids get overwhelmed by the social scene and they end up failing o...

Penn State: My Second Home
My advice is to not be afraid to talk to people. Were not called Happy Valley for nothing. Everyone is friendly and likes to make new friends. Also talk advantage of the student clubs and organizations offered at our school. Go to the Football games and THON, which is when we raise money for kids with pediatric cancer, it is truly an experience of a lifetime. Also just come out here to do work and have time to play also. I chose Penn State because the first time I visited this school, I knew tha...

Penn State: The Happiest Place on Earth
PSU has incredible academic programs and allows you to take classes in just about everything. State College is a college town with everything you need in walking distance. There are 500+ clubs and amazing sports. People are friendly - at Penn State you are family. While it's easy to be "just a number" here it is equally as easy to stand out from the crowd. I wouldn't tell any student not to apply. However, if you are looking for small classes and a lot of individual attention, attend a branch ca...

Penn State: The Place to Be!
I chose Penn State because I was looking for a campus with a lot of school spirit - big open spaces and lots of people. After looking at all of the Big 10 Schools, I felt that Happy Valley felt like home. I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life, so a college with over 100 majors sounded like a great option. If you're ambitious, outgoing and independent, you'll fit right in here. This is not the school where professors will be holding your hand and checking up on you. While be...

Penn State: The Good and Bad of PSU
Those of you looking to meet new people and try new things should definitely consider Penn State. The opportunities are endless and diversity of people promotes new and unfound relationships. Those of you who are looking for a quiet college and a more stable, steady day to day life should be wary.

Penn State: City Life Minus the City
Penn State is huge. There are more students in State College then there are residents. This has many benefits, but don't sign your life away just yet. There are a few things you should know before you become a Nittany Lion. I went to Penn State strictly for the program. Everyone told me I couldn't find a better architecture program. I didn't have much of a choice either. I was a small school boy being forced onto a large school campus as a result of my career choice. There ju...

Penn State: What you make it
My advice to high school students considering Penn State? Be aware of how vast Penn State is, in every regard. Your entry-level courses, which you will be in for your first four semesters, will routinely have 200 to 800 other students in them. This makes asking questions in class difficult, and finding one-on-one time with your professor impossible. All you can do at this point is pray that your TA speaks coherent English. You will be arriving on campus with thousands of other students, so ...

Penn State: I Love Happy Valley
Coming to Penn State easily the greatest decision of my life. The school has a combination of great sports, great parties, and great academics. Even though the school is rediculously big, everyone is so nice and the professors are amazing.

Penn State: Penn State is EVERYWHERE!!!
Get involved with extra-curriculars. Although a GPA counts, being involved helps out more. Don't worry if you don't get into University Park, and are accepted at 22 of it's other locations. Any campus you go to is a Penn State Education and experiance all it's own. I chose it because for as long as I remember I wanted to go there. It has an outstanding number of degrees to choose from, and there is more then one location, which can help with costs and traveling problems.

Penn State: WE ARE... PENN STATE!
University Park has truely earned the name, Happy Valley. The people here are amazing. It is a totally differant atmosphere than anything you are used to. You are just thrown into this realm of intense academia, crazy parties, great friends, hott guys and girls, football and school spirit. It is like heaven and every dime of the tuition paid is so worth it. You will make friends for life here. Even anti-social people get into socializing with other anti-social people. There is something fo...

Penn State: the best school ever!
I would definitely make the same choice. I grew up in Naples, Florida and my dad is a Penn State alumnus. When I came up to visit PSU while I was in high school, I fell in love. I knew this was the place for me. I didn't want to be at a small school. I'd say the best advice is to get involved. I'm in comradio (which we have an internet news show and other sports shows, talk shows, whatever you want) and the nittwits www.nittwits.com. we r the student sectio nfor the men's ...

Penn State: big bad penn state
Going to a big school it is somewhat of an adjustment, especially if you come from a smaller high school – I guess if you want to focus more on your school work maybe a smaller school would be better, but Penn State is ideal for most people. I actually don’t think it’s hard to get around campus at all I have no problem walking around campus and nowhere is really more than a 15 minute walk – I actually haven’t even used the buses that much.

Penn State: Football mania
This place is so big there are groups of everyone – they’re all different. Everyone can fit in if you find the people who enjoy the same things you do. Usually the kids that don’t fit in are the quieter ones – the ones that don’t venture out and maybe cross a barrier, talk to somebody they might feel shy about.

Penn State: Big campus - big choices
I think someone that wouldn’t fit in to Penn State is someone who would be apathetic or who wouldn’t care about getting involved or having a good time and enjoying the surroundings. What’s great about here is that it’s big but really you can walk everywhere – it’ll take a while but you can get buses. Penn State definitely has good looking kids, I mean you see them everywhere around. Especially when it’s nice out.

Penn State: Great frats - huge school
It’s a really big school – it took me I guess a month to really get used to everything. Everything is within walking distance and they have the buses if you don’t feel like walking. There’s a lot of gym rats here like a lot of people that hang out – real athletic people, you have to be like a drinker – it’s probably like 90% of the students here go out and get drunk every night.

Penn State: A Big School
Penn State I would say that’s its definitely really important to be outgoing because people just aren’t always going to come to you, but everyone can make friends, it is easy joining clubs and getting involved in all different kinds of ways can help someone who’s not as outgoing, to meet people. Penn State in some ways is cliquey, its such a big school that people do tend to go gravitate to people that are most like them, I would say, maybe compared to a smaller school atmosphere where everyone ...
