St John's University: St John's sucks
If you're consider St. John's, come for the pharmacy or law programs. Otherwise, you should really consider another school. the student body is very african american, asian, and indian friendly - there really is a lot of diversity here. But as far as your standard, white kids? The school isn't that friendly - lots of ethnic cliques.

This school is better for the club-going business student population. Being a hippie english major, I am in the minority. But, the school is close enough to the city that it'd be ok for pretty much anybody from any walk of life.

St John's University: What the hell's a red storm?
Honestly, it was my "safety" school... probably my last choice, but they gave me a full academic scholarship. That's about it. As far as my thoughts now, it's not too bad, especially considering I'll leave here with no loans to pay back. If I had to pay though, I would definitely have chosen somewhere else.

St John's University: Good For Scholarships, If Nothing Else
Anyone looking into St. John's should know that, while the school has improved academically a great deal, it is still primarily known for its athletics program. However, don't let that discourage you. The university has a great pharmacy program and liberal arts here is pretty good as well. As for more "professional" fields, there are both the good and the bad aspects of the programs here. And it all depends on who happens to be teaching.
