SUNY Binghamton: Binghamton University: Top School, Bottom Cost
Binghamton is the kind of school of students who are looking for all of the critical benefits of a large research university but want the small, intimate feel of a smaller liberal arts college. Recruiters and grad schools agree that Binghamton produces kids at least as competitive as the Ivy breed, except we come out with a fraction of the debt. This is a school of people who seek a top quality education but aren't jaded by fancy names and ivy covered buildings. I wouldn't recommend a student wh...

SUNY Binghamton: Bing Life
Honestly, anyone can find his or her niche here at Binghamton. Artsy, Hippie, Party Animal, Sporty, whatever- there are all types of people here. I’d recommend looking carefully at what majors Binghamton has to offer. Harper excels at their liberal arts majors, but there is not an infinite amount; you should carefully consider your major when applying here, since some appealing majors are not offered.

SUNY Binghamton: My College Experience
I chose Binghamton because of its affordability. I know most high school seniors do not think of life after their four years of undergrad; but it is becoming almost a necessity to continue on with your education after your bachelor’s degree. Thus, it is extremely helpful to save as much money as you can for undergrad. Binghamton helps you do this while still getting a great education that is respected in the world. I would tell students that do not want to become involved in any sort of activiti...

SUNY Binghamton: Pefect Size
I chose this school based on size, price and classes. I think it's a perfect size, not too big but not too small. You get the feel of a big school at times but are able to have many small classes as well. It is easy to be in touch with professors/TA's as well because of this. I would tell people who don't want a big campus not to come here and who want a campus that is very close-knit in terms of dorming and such.

SUNY Binghamton: Get Involved!
The biggest piece of advice I can give to a high school student is to get involved. It's your chance to meet people, and meet DIFFERENT people from all types of backgrounds and education and to really make some amazing friends. I chose my school because I came on a tour and just felt at home. Students were sitting around inviting me out with them that night, inviting me to come to their classes with them, or inviting me to stay over. These were people I didn't even know. When I went on ...

SUNY Binghamton: The best decision I've ever made!
Binghamton University is the perfect school for a student looking for all the benefits, offerings and opportunities of a large school, with the personality and feel of a small school. You'll find many opportunities to get involved, do research, study abroad, go to the division one basketball games and other activities you would expect from a large research institution, but at the same time, enjoy small classes, personal professors, individual attention, great students, and never feel like a...

SUNY Binghamton: Great for Academics and fun!
Binghamton is a great place with great academics and lots of fun. I chose it after going on a tour that showed me all the ins and outs and explained all the great aspects of the school and after speaking to the advisor in the department I was interested in. Students who aren't interested in having everything they want in a college right there at their finger tips should stay away from Binghamton. :o)
