I think everyone knows Swarthomre for its rigor. Though UChicago is known as the school where fun goes to die, Swarthmore is known for its rigorous honors program and intense academics. This may sound trite, but if you're not passionate about something, you'll have a hard time sitting down in the library every night to study because Swarthmore IS intense. Swarthmore is largely a school for students who are happy about being out of the mainstream. If you identify as "quirky" -- or if you spend a lot of time thinking about how you identify at all -- you'll probably be thrilled to be among the other brilliant, funny, iconoclastic people who make up the small undergraduate population.

Everyone is really hardworking and deligent with there schoolwork. Studying comes first at Swat, but after ts done, students generally know how to have a good time.

If you are by any means normal, don't like reading, take showers pretty often, and your clothes actually match, chances are, Swarthmore College is not the place for you! Swarthmore costs about 40 thousand dollars a year, and the average student gets about 27 thousand in financial aid. It's amazing what people do for money! That's exactly why I am here. To look on the bright side, its near Philadelphia so you can escape when necessary.
