Syracuse University: Absolutely Wonderful School
I absolutely love Syracuse University and all that it offered me. having graduated from the Whitman school of management I was offered many jobs because of the prestige of the schoo and the network that I built over my four years at SU. I knew from the beginning that SU would be an asset in my life and it surely did. I am glad I chose Syracuse and extremely grateful for the opportunities and close ties that I have with different people. Syracuse is definitely not the place to be anti-social or y...

Syracuse University: Well rounded school for anyone
This is a very well rounded school that any student in any field would like. Syracuse has everything that one would expect of college life. We have ivy covered buildings and a huge sports games along with raging frat parties, and excellent academic programs. I chose this school because of its medium size, small city setting, and a pretty good economics department. I got accepted to university of Maryland college park, but i chose to go to a private school, even though i knew college park doesn h...

Syracuse University: cusefession
at first i was intimidated because it seemed really big---but it gets small fast!!! the size of the school is perfect... you can also challenge yourself as much as you want--you can get by with all easy classes if you want, or wicked hard ones..

Syracuse University: Get It Goin'
You should definitely take a tour before coming here. If you think the campus looks like it does in the brochures, you're wrong. If you can get past the fact that the campus is in the middle of the ghetto and find your niche of people, you'll survive and have a blast here. If you're a tight-ass that doesn't like to party, and wants to spend all of their time in the library, you will be miserable here. We'll basically eat you alive. If you're the party-hardy extrovert that the majority of us a...

Syracuse University: What Syracuse is really like
Syracuse has a mix of all different people, rich and snobby, down to earth, academically oriented, slackers and over-achievers. Everyone seems to find people like them and enjoy their time here. I choose Syracuse because it was a great combination of academics and campus life. If you don't like to go out and be social you will not like it here most likely. The winter is miserable here and I truly mean it. The worst part is that the sun never comes out and it becomes depressing. When it's nice th...

Syracuse University: The Real Scoop
Great opportunities are probably accessible at most Universities, and Syracuse is no exception. Opportunites are endless to have a great time, prepare yourself for the work force in the future, and build a great network of friends in the process. It does get fairly cold, but most of the bad reputation comes from the distant past. Most recently, the winters have been managable. Take it from me, I've lived in Syracuse for 12 years. But there are indeed four seasons in our calendar year, and wi...

Syracuse University: Syracuse is The Best!
I chose Syracuse because I wanted a large diverse campus that would take me away from the small Catholic school I had attended. Here at SU, there is so much to do, so much to study, and so many different kinds of people from all over the world. It opened my eyes to alot of stuff I had never seen. I also liked the idea of going to a school with lots of school spirit. The Orangemen are the best to cheer for. Don't let the threat of snow and/or cold scare you. One downside - if you are looking ...

Syracuse University: Inclusive with Lots of Spirit!
I chose Syracuse because I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Because I want to go into Broadcasting Journalism, I applied to the Newhouse School. Although I didn't get in via my High School application, transferring in was not too difficult. You should stay away from here if you can't handle extreme weather conditions, specifically tons of snow and wind. There are a wide variety of "social groups" here, and fitting in is really easy. If you're going to college solely to party, t...

Syracuse University: COLD...
Be ready for some serious cold. Lake effect snow and dark skies are the only thing you're gonna see most of the year at CUSE. If you can take that, you'll be ready for anything. Make sure you have some party outfits that adjust to the negative degrees outside and the sweaty temps in side a frat house basement. Adjusting is pretty easy; luckily, everyone is in the same boat you are when it comes to being away from home and getting to know new people, and SU's diversity help with this....

Syracuse University: Hard work required
I choose Syracuse because I like the entire campus. There are a lot of athletics here. When the teams are winning people show up at the games. The basketball team is pretty good, I had season tickets for that.

Syracuse University: Posh totty but no slackers
A lot of people here do internships all over the country in the summer. The city is the ghetto. If you have a car you can go the downtown area like armory square. That’s a really nice place to be. But right around campus you can’t walk anywhere. They offer intramural sports. The gym is always open for activities. They always have concerts come. You get snow in October until April. It’s like 5,7 inches at time. It goes below 0 temperatures. It’s cold.

Syracuse University: Cold Cold Chilly Cold!
I’m from Los Angeles, CA. I came here with 2 sweatshirts, 2 pairs of long pants, not really knowing what the cold was. Never seen snow before. Syracuse is a really old town. Lot of brick buildings. The city is bad. It’s pretty ghetto. You always here about people getting shot and mugged. I pretty much don’t leave campus. I go to Armory Square occasionally. There are sometimes movies on the quad. There are theaters all over the place. There’s bunch of clubs you can join. There’s lots ...

Syracuse University: Artsy, friendly school
I think the only thing that made me choose this school was before I came I met a bunch of people in Greek life and I loved it. I rushed at it as soon as I got here. The college is basically for music and drama and acting and things along those lines.

Syracuse University: Great dorms @ Syracuse
My favorite thing about Syracuse would probably be just having a good time. Being able to relax and some of the classes are really cool. There’s a lot of people here I get along with. My least favorite thing would be the long winter in Syracuse. I like snowboarding and stuff but you could be going to school somewhere where the weather was nicer. I came here because of the art facilities and because I liked the campus feel.
