If you're all about going to a party school, don't come here. I came here for cheesesteaks, and I'm staying for friends. For out of state students it's pretty expensive, for a public school. Housing isn't guaranteed after freshman year, but there are plenty of choices in the safe part of the surrounding area.

Temple University: Big City School, Friendly Students
Temple Univesity Main Campus is a great place for students who are self initiating, comfortable in the city and ready for and able to sort through hundreds of opportunities. There is something on campus for everyone from the serious to the playful. The Recreation Center has classes and equipment for student use as part of the fees - a great deal. There's so much going on that you can't possibly see or do 1/2 of it and most of the faculty are pretty interested in students.
