Texas A&M: One Big Happy Family!
You have to factor in a lot of time to study and do homework and never be afraid to ask for help! The course loads for most majors are insane! This school is not a "Walk in the Park". Far from it actually! We are not a bunch of hick farmers like most people think. But if you really want to learn something and get your money's worth, A&M is a great school!

Texas A&M: It's what you make it!
I believe the lazy student should stay away from this school because there is no "getting by" like in high school and you must be very dedicated. This university is very challenging and it can by all means produce a Yale equivalent...but at the same time I met a cashier at K Mart that graduated class of 1983 and still wasn't a supervisor....please don't end up working at K Mart after graduating from such a great school as Texas A & M. Texas A&M: Texas A&M Rocks
The one piece of advice I want to start with when it comes to Texas A&M is: learn how to study, college style. Anyone from a small town or small private school will be overwhelmed by the course load and size of the campus. I chose Texas A&M because of the history and tradition. Texas A&M: Possibly the best school ever?
Come visit the school to really get a feel for the people and atmosphere of Texas A&M. It is really one of the greatest places to be and I wouldn't go anywhere else if I could. If you are a liberal arts major, I would stay away from Texas A&M, but for engineering, agriculture, vet. , science and business its a great school. The only advice I would really give to high school students is to try and keep your grades up because admission to Texas A&M is not easy for the top majors.

Texas A&M: Culture and Traditions
I chose A&M because of it's culture and traditions. Even though the campus and school are huge, once you get here, you find friends and your own small niche. Everyone is super friendly. When walking to class, you get howdy's all the time instead of walking in a silence. Sports at A&M are incredible because the "12th Man" behind them. Texas A&M: A tradition in excellence
I chose Texas A & M because of the atmosphere. Although we have 45,000 students it feels like we are a small campus. Everyone is extremely friendly. My biggest piece of advice would be: get involved in organizations that give you a base of friends so you don't end up feeling like you know no one. Students that are looking for a university that feels and actually is small should definitely stay away from A & M.

Texas A&M: Everything stems from tradition...
It’s kind of a big change because you go from a town of about 8,000 people to a town of 100,000 people and it’s a lot of change, but once you get here, you realize that it’s a lot smaller than you think it is. You see the same people on campus everyday. And really, it’s a small world after all.

Texas A&M: A Tough School
There is not too many minorities down here, it’s mostly Caucasians I guess and it wouldn’t be as bad, I mean it’s not that bad because everybody around here is so nice, but when I walk into classrooms sometimes it’s only like 3 or 4 African Americans in the class. It’s not that diverse. It’s mostly majorities here, but there’s a couple, every year it’s getting bigger. Every year there’s more minorities here, it’s getting bigger.

Texas A&M: An Aggie Ring
I think we have a very diverse population of students here at A&M. I’m gotten to meet a lot of diff races, a lot of different ethnic and cultural groups and I think overall it’s a really good thing because you get a chance to meet people that you would have never known from you hometown or from a diff smaller college.

Texas A&M: Conservatives know how to Party
It can get crazy around here. I think a lot of people think because it’s a conservative school, maybe things don’t get crazy but we like to have our fun just like any other school and I think you can expect big parties. We have a really big religion community here specifically I know I’m Catholic and we have a big community for that a lot of people get involved and it’s really great.

Texas A&M: Not Exactly a Diverse Campus
There’s not a whole lot of diversity. I know lots of people from all sorts of states that go to A&M Galvaston, but A&M college station, I know someone from Colorado and actually I know a guy from Nigeria, I work with a guy from Nigeria, that’s about it.
