Tufts: The Hidden Gem
The honest reason I chose Tufts is because I wanted an Ivy education without the pretention that goes along with it. I didn't exactly get what I bargained for, but it was an experience I wouldn't trade. The academics are rigorous, and you'll soon learn that although you can get away with daily drinking, it probably won't be conducive to fantastic success. This is a school where you can shine or hide, depending on where you are most comfortable. This is a school neither for the weak-willed, t...

Tufts: For the serious student, not the party animal.
If you're not sure what you want to study, Tufts is great. We have a good IR program (so all the related disciplines are strong - political science, economics, language), premed program (again, natural sciences all strong), drama program, philosophy...basically we have very strong undergrad programs unless you want to major in business or finance, which we don't offer. If you want to root for DI sports teams, or watch them, do not come to Tufts.

Tufts: Asexuality at this school is worth it
The advice I'd give...if you want a school where there's ALWAYS a party~this is not the place. On weekends, it is fairly easy to find things to keep yourself entertained but...on a Tuesday for example, we're working our asses off! The work is hard~grade inflation doesn't exist like at the big ivies. The size is pretty nice though. The professors are also amazing and very approachable.

Tufts: Sorry Girls
If you're a guy, or girl, looking for hot ladies, this isn't the place for you. However, if you're looking for tough academics to challenge you, then Tufts is perfect. Tufts is tough. I chose Tufts because of its academic repuation and for sports. I didn't want to play D1, and the NESCAC was perfect for that since they don't have mandatory off-season practices. You are here as a student first, then an athlete.

Tufts: Amazing
Tufts is awesome. It has a great reputation as a "new ivy" and is defiantly on the rise. Tufts has amazing food (on and off campus...there are waffle irons, pannini makers tons of vegetarian options etc and off campus try the Joshua Tree, The Blueshirt Cafe, and Tastys), dominos delivers until 3am, it has a great location...close to the city but still with a nice campus, great and easy housing, and is environmentally and internationally conscious.

Tufts: Awesome (but not a party school...)
Tufts is AMAZING! First of all, it's very internationally oriented, so for all those who want to go beyond the boundaries of what they've known, this is definitely the place. You'll meet really interesting people who have done awesome things and the option to go abroad is so readily available. Almost 45% of all students go abroad to incredible places. Also, there are great ways to get involved and make a difference in the community (Medford, Boston...) through citizenship and politic...

Tufts: It Wasn't a Tuft Choice for Me!
For me, the college search was not too hard. After all, Tufts has been a part of my family for my whole life, as my dad went there as an undergrad. I went to some of the Homecoming games as a kid, and Tufts was definitely a topic of conversation throughout childhood. Thankfully, my dad did not make a big deal out of it during my college search. He didn't push me toward applying there, because he knew that I would be happiest going somewhere that was fit for me, not because it was right for h...

Tufts: Brown and Blue is the best!
I chose Tufts for three main reasons: 1) Location - Tufts is located just five miles from Boston, which is a great city with plenty of activity and tons of college students. However, it's not right in the city but instead out in a suburb (that has its own couple of nice squares (Davis and Teele) where there are restaurants, stores, and clubs. The campus is well-kept and pretty, and there is always something different going on during the weekends. So you basically have a variety of social opt...

Tufts: A Jumbo Life
Tufts is a high-demand academic school. If you're interested in going, be prepared to make a committment to your classes; there aren't too many "easy A" classes. In fact, I don't know anyone who's found one. But it's worth it - Tufts is gaining increasing respect from people and businesses around the world. Students looking to get by easily or hoping for lots of grade inflation, or hoping to spend their entire college career partying should steer clear. We party hard, but ...

Tufts: Tufts is great!
I love Tufts! People need to get over the fact that we are not Ivy League. Isn't it a good thing that so many people here at Tufts are close to the Ivy League? We are great students, we work our asses off, and we party! Every weekend I am drinking, having fun with friends. NO, you will not be going to 500 person+ parties on the weekends. YES, there are parties on campus. NO, Tufts will not give you easy grades. YES, classes will be intense and sometimes you will wish you were at an Iv...

Tufts: Think twice about this school
I, like so many of my classmates here at Tufts, chose it because it was "the best school I could get in to". I personally was not an Ivy-League reject, but a suprising amout of kids here were rejected from Brown, Columbia, Dartmouth, or non ivies like Georgetown, Northwestern, MIT, and even Boston College. As a result, there is basically no school spirit at tufts, because there is nothing to be proud of. It is a 2nd rate school with a 2nd rate campus, poor social life and no sporting events to ...

Tufts: Tufts Daily.
Some of the classes have been very interesting. There are a lot of different options. This is actually the first year that I kind of feel like I know my professors more on a personal level. I don’t know if it was just I was intimidated before, but all my English professors I’m pretty close— I can go seek outside help. They make themselves available and offer good advice.

Tufts: Well... the food rocks
Sports and school spirit tend to be non-existent. The party scene at Tufts it’s pretty basic, it tends at least in my experience, it tends to revolve around the frats most of the time and then off-campus houses, but a lot of people just pre-game, get drunk in the dorm before they go out and so I mean there are both aspects of it. To get alcohol at Tufts, you can always go to a party, a frat party off campus and they’re pretty willing to give you whatever your want.

Tufts: stuck-up!
The party scene kind of exists. It took a while to find. It’s nothing like a state school or anything. It doesn’t come close to anything like CU, but it’s okay. We have a good time. There really isn’t that much to do. The cops are really bad here. They’re all about breaking everything up as quick as possible. The School spirit at Tufts is pretty horrendous, it’s absolutely horrendous, actually, which is a shame because people would get so much more into this school if school spirit was ...

Tufts: Tufts is NOT a party central...
I chose it for the name and because I thought I’d have fun here. I guess the diversity is my favorite thing about Tufts because I feel like a lot of people have differences between them, but it some ways we’re all the same type of person.
