Get your general education classes at UAA to save money and then transfer out of state to fully enjoy what a real college has to offer. You will not experience life to the fullest if you just go to UAA. If you like the outdoors, this school is for you. However, if you like D-1 Athletics, UAA is definitely not the option for you as the athletics are mediocre with only one weekend of D-1 basketball with the Great Alaska Shootout.
