College Overview: UCSD

UCSD: conservative a**holes
Don't go to this school!! I only came here because I once was a biology major, but if you are not going to find the cure for cancer, don't bother going to this school. I transferred out, and am much happier. I also want to note that the video segments show San Diego State life and the beach areas, not UCSD. UCSD looks nothing like the videos show.

UCSD: You See San Diego
If you're hoping for a constant party, this is not the place to go. People who go here will always describe it as "chill" - which is exactly what it is... just very laidback in all aspects. UCSD: Science and Engineering - better than UCLA
Any person applying to UCSD should take a campus tour before making thier college decision. UCSD: peachy on the beach
I picked to come to come to come to UCSD because it’s very strong academically and also because of location. It was only 2 hours away from my home so it wasn’t that far, but it wasn’t close enough that I’d have to live at home. UCSD: hola!
UCSD is very geared towards the hard sciences, math, engineering, and then the neurosciences. I TA Spanish which makes my job fun because a lot of the kids, a lot of the students they are tired of those classes and it’s a lot of memorization. Whereas my class is interactive and taking them away from the things that you know and we’re doing something different. UCSD: bioengineering ties...
The campus is beautiful, the weather is great, socially I’m not really sure what the undergraduates do. I don’t see a lot of partying going on.Downtown San Diego is 10 minutes away. The beach is 10 minutes away and so it’s a really nice location. There are just a lot of outdoor activities you can do because it’s so nice all the time. UCSD: Not really a party school
If you want to go to a party you could find one. But whenever I walk around on campus at night it’s pretty dead. And I think part of the reason for that is most of the places here don’t open late and just I guess we need a hangout place and it’s pretty dead yeah.

UCSD: Applying to a College within UCSD
When you apply to UCSD you rank the 6 colleges here in order of which one you like the most. There’s Revelle, Muir, Warren, Marhall, Eleanor Roosevelt College, and Six College.

UCSD: Great School for my Third Choice
I came to UCSD because like everyone else here I didn’t get into UCLA or Berkeley, so it’s kind of like everyone here is a reject.
