UChicago: It's a great school,, but you have to want it

UChicago: Hardworking Students
Given that most students that would apply to the U of C are very hardworking, probably complete all of their work, and only get A's, I would advise students to learn as fast as they can that this is not possible at the U of C. You can still do relatively well and manage to have some sort of life, but there is no way you could do all of your reading and get all A's. UChicago: Siberian Nerdfest
You need to do some research before coming here (accidentally) like i did. I chose it because all i knew was that it had a good economics department and that it was in a city i liked. If you are a normal person who doesn't like to study most of the time, enjoy a good social life, prefers a normal sex life, and enjoys attractive people...then don't come here. Don't come here for the girls.

UChicago: Where Fun Comes to Die - Not Really
The University of Chicago is not your normal school. It follows the great books program - it is extremely focused on liberal arts. The University is a school for philosophers; the type of person who goes here is generally very contemplative. It is not a school to pick for those who want to party or participate in sports as both have a rather nebulous place on campus. UChicago: Paradise for some, hell for others
Only come here if you want to work hard, if you have a natural sense of wonder. If you're fascinated by the mysteries of nature and the human condition. Don't come here if you're primarily interested in sports or vocational training. This is no school like any other. It truly is the only "University" in the real sense of the word, worldwide.
