CU Boulder: Boulder, dude--it's gnar gnar
Visit campus--I guarantee you'll fall in love with it. I was a Colorado native (about 50%+ of CU is), and though I had scholarships at other schools, I didn't want to go anywhere else. Coming from out of state, you have to ask yourself: does cost matter? partying? academics? the outdoors? What is most important to you? If you're coming from in state, you get a great bargain--tuition is pretty cheap. From out of state, it's a bit pricey. If you're up for having fun in college, you can't go wrong;...

CU Boulder: A Guide To CU Boulder
CU is a very unique school situated in one of America's most unique cities. Boulder is 36 miles North-West of Denver and is connected by a series of upscale towns along the way including Broomfield, where leading telecom companies call home. Boulder itself is a small-mid size town of about 150,000 people with 14 square miles of undeveloped space for recreation. Rated by "Men's Health" and "Men's Journal" for numerous years as America's healthiest/best small town for men and is re...

CU Boulder: all white american college
I would say primarily the great weather, skiing, snowboarding and I also knew that it was a great university so that’s why I came here. I actually ski and snowboard. I learned skiing and snowboarding in Germany. And the Rocky Mountains were great. I don’t know, improve my skills a little bit more and the now is way better in the rocky mountains than in the Alps. For the first two years here, I didn’t even have a car and there are always people, first year in the dorms and later like I co...

CU Boulder: diversity lacking
It was a little bit of a shock when I got here. I come from downtown Boston, so it’s very, very diverse there. You get here and admittedly, it’s primarily White, but there are just all these people and it’s so laid back, that’s the best part about Boulder is how laid back it is. It’s interesting because unlike high school atmosphere where you have a popular crowd and then everyone else. Here it’s just multiple sorts of cliques that you can run in. You can always find your own circle. I had se...

CU Boulder: Close to home, but far enough.
I chose to come to Boulder because I’m from Albuquerque, NM and I wanted to stay relatively close to home, but also be far enough away where I wouldn’t go home every weekend. I immediately knew that I was going to come here. I visited the summer before my senior year and I just knew that it was the place for me. I drove over The Hill, it was just a perfect match. I’m not very outdoorsy compared to most. Especially with the mountains so close, a lot of people will just go snowboarding all w...

CU Boulder: snowboarding rules
I came from a really big high school of about 4,000 so coming to CU was not overwhelming at all because I was very used to big classes and a lot of people walking around. I love walking on The Hill, finding a party. It’s just very open, it’s just very fun. The Hill is pretty much right across from campus. It’s within walking distance for anybody in the dorms. It has a lot of great places to eat and a lot of great places to party as well. It’s very common to wear pyjamas to class ac...

CU Boulder: Skiing and Hiking
I picked Boulder because it was close to home and it’s really pretty around the mountains and CU is pretty well known for its business school. and that’s what I wanted to do, so it was a good choice for me.
