CU Boulder: diversity lacking
It was a little bit of a shock when I got here. I come from downtown Boston, so it’s very, very diverse there. You get here and admittedly, it’s primarily White, but there are just all these people and it’s so laid back, that’s the best part about Boulder is how laid back it is. CU Boulder: Close to home, but far enough.
I chose to come to Boulder because I’m from Albuquerque, NM and I wanted to stay relatively close to home, but also be far enough away where I wouldn’t go home every weekend. I came from a really big high school of about 4,000 so coming to CU was not overwhelming at all because I was very used to big classes and a lot of people walking around.
