The University of Delaware is a great school to look into. I chose it because I am from Delaware and for in-state students it is reasonably priced and I will get a great education. Also, I am a business major and the University of Delaware has a great business school. It is centrally located between many large cities making it easy for networking and finding a job.

UD - University of Delaware: More of a Party School
As a student in financial need, I wanted to go somewhere that gave me a large merit/need-based scholarship. Delaware provided me with just that. Moreover I wanted to impress my parents by going somewhere far away and with a low acceptance rate, and Delaware was fairly competitive. One of my final motivators for the school was that it's about an hour and a half from DC, so I figured being really into politics having DC in my backyard was fairly nice.

UD - University of Delaware: Word from an RA
I visted colleges and universities, but when I first stepped on the UD's campus, I told my mom, "I want to go here." The campus is beautiful, and until you visit, you really would not know what it was like. If your mission in life is to party hard, you can do that here. If you want a quiet college life, you can still do that here too. UD has things for everyone, but just know that if you party hard, be prepare to work hard and also be smart about it. UD - University of Delaware: Not the Worst - But know what to expect
The biggest piece of advice that I can give is to be smart. The police here keep the place safe, but just don’t get caught doing anything you aren’t supposed to. The University of Delaware has some rough policies. Like if you are drinking underage with a friend and your friend gets sick and has to go to the hospital and it gets reported to the university, he will get two strikes (3 and you are on probation or some crap) and I believe you get one. UD - University of Delaware: Great Academics, Mediocre Athletics and Hot Girls
The University of Delaware is one of those totally underrated schools because they lack a DI-AA football program. Not a lot of people have heard about UD, but thats because we don't make BCS bowl appearances, so if you have always wanted to go to a school that has 100,000 capacity stadium and BCS Bowl appearances I strongly suggest not to come here. UD - University of Delaware: Amazing all round.
A lot of the people here are from Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New York, so it’s not that much of a culture change. I came here for the first time and I fell in love with the campus, it’s absolutely gorgeous. UD - University of Delaware: Super chill @ Delaware
It’s a little bit of a slower pace down here, but definitely when you come to the University you have so many people from like Long Island, New Jersey, Pennsylvania. Everybody’s pretty much from the northeastern area, it’s pretty chill. Pretty much here at Delaware, as a guy you’re outnumbered I think its 60/40. UD - University of Delaware: Hot girls, tonnes to do, and a great campus
People love the campus, there’s a lot to do here. Delaware’s one of the first all-wireless campuses. Pretty much every building on the campus is wireless, so you can just grab your laptop, take it out of your room, run over and do some work. The signals are pretty strong so a lot of people actually go outside a lot of the buildings. Lay out in the sun, hop on their laptop, do some studying, hop out in their bathing suits. UD - University of Delaware: BLUE HENS!!!
Delaware, is not too huge like Rutgers, but its not too small either, so its pretty much whatever you want to make out of it. If you want to go to a lot of parties on the weekend you got that option…There’s so many things you can get involved with here too. Campus is beautiful, girls are beautiful, there’s parties everywhere. It’s a lot of fun. The school actually has a great reputation so you can’t really go wrong with any of that. Down here its kinds of slow and relaxed and everybody’s easy going. It’s very big and it has a lot of different majors and I came in undeclared so it gave me the opportunity to explore all different kinds of majors.
