Most high school students I have spoken with have had a problem with the size of the school. This probably stems from Iowa having so many small towns and the students feel like they won't be able to handle the transition. I came from a class of 22 students and was the only person from my class to go to Iowa but I still saw the same people all the time and still managed to develope a pretty tight knit group of friends. University of Iowa: Not that big...
Its' not as big as it seems, I think there is something on campus or people on campus that would suit almost anybody. So there's not any particular type of person that should stay away. I came from a town of 800 to a student body of 30,000 and I love it.
