The biggest piece of advice I would give is that make sure you get involved in something. It helps a whole lot when it comes to being social and meeting people. If you don't get involved UK could be the worst place ever.

Kentucky is a Great choice for all basketball fans. Basketball and Horse Races are the well known things in the area. I choose this school because it seemed to be a beautiful campus, full of exitement, parties, and you are never bored!

Do you care about your academic career? Are you going to college to get an education? Then don't go to UK. The focus here is not on education - this college is deadset on becoming a "Top 20 Research University" and they're doing it on the backs of the undergraduates whose greatest benefit from the research is that they can be paid to be hamsters. Tuition raises EVERY year by several percentages.

I chose UK because, one, I live in Lexington so it was very convenient. I also knew a lot of people coming here. Plus its by far the best public university in the state. Most anyone would fit in well here.
