Mizzou: Great choice...
I chose Mizzou because of my relationship with some of the professors. If you are a lazy, careless, rude, idiot, stay away from Mizzou, go to say... Kansas U instead!

Mizzou: M-I-Z-Z-O-U
I chose Mizzou because I have lived in Missouri my entire life, so i figured I had a dedication to this school, since all of the other colleges in Missouri, aren't that great. If you are a person who enjoys wearing dirty old clothes, and you don't like to clean you self clean (shaven) then mizzou is not for you. The Student body will look down on you.

Mizzou: True College Story
I chose MU because of its location. Columbia has the small hometown feel yet there is an air of excitment. The downtown area is right off campus and provides clothing stores, restaurants, clubs, bars, and other great amenities. as a freshamn you have a chance to join a FIG (freshman interest group), in it are 15-20 fellow freshman that have similiar interest and/or majors as you. you have up to three classes together, so its a built in study group, and live on the same floor. It gives you a chan...

Mizzou: Big School, Big Fun
MU is a decent school. I looked at it simply because of the money, since it offered me the most in scholarship funds...but MU also has a great reputation for its Journalism school. However, sometimes it seems being here is not worth it. In the beginning of their time in the Journalism Program, students are almost forced to work in the News-Editorial (News-Ed) area of Journalism. Don't be fooled: there's more than just J2100 News Reporting. Other fields of study within Journalism...

Mizzou: Freshman @ MU
If you are from a KS school....there aren't many of us. Get involved early! I chose MU for the scholarships and opportunities. If you're doing any type of science, DO UNDERGRAD RESEARCH! If you like big cities....CoMo is not the place. Although there are almost 30, 000 students, once you're off campus...that's about it.

Mizzou: A Great Value, But Far from Perfection
I love Mizzou - it's got some of the top programs in the Midwest in a lot of areas. The school is definitely on its way up, and the administration tries to accomodate the vision - lots of new buildings, new professors, lots of new student spaces. It's a big school, though, and it takes a while to get through the huge lecture halls. I chose it because the program for my major is as good as you can get pretty much anywhere, and the campus is beautiful and very accessible. Everyone is very ...

Mizzou: A Junior's View
I would recommend staying in a hotel for a whole weekend and try to entertain yourself. This should be an big part of your decision because you will need a place to relax outside of school... to make school go easier on yourself. This isn't a very brainy institution so if you want a good challenge and a school focused on that go somewhere else. However if you want football, sports and cold weather this is your school. Also if your not a journalism major expect your major to be overshadowed. ...

Mizzou: Not too shabby
This school is most definitely a school for either: A. In-State Missouri students or, B. Journalism majors. Pretty much every person that goes here either is a Journalism major, or at one point was a Journalism major. I am a Journalism major, and every time someone asks me where I am from, and say out of state, they say "Oh, for Journalism right?" There is an ongoing brawl of people from St. Louis and Kansas City claiming their city is better, so if you have a problem with that, it can get pr...

Mizzou: Greek and Social School
This school is definitely for those of you who are very social. The school is very heavily populated with people involved in Greek life. You had also be pretty in shape because there is a lot of walking involved from going to class to class, and sometimes you don't have a lot of time to get there.

Mizzou: If you're interested in J-school...
Like many students, I came him here for Mizzou's great journalism program. As a freshman, you're probably going to change your major quite a few times... and unless you've been set on journalism for basically your whole life, there's a good chance it's going to change. If you don't want to study all the time and aren't just "naturally" smart this might not be the place for you. The grading scale can mess up your GPA just with the minuses alone. Your GPA has to be pret...

Mizzou: A School for Everyone
I chose Mizzou because it was close to home but not too close. It's relatively affordable, although the Curators use the students as their endless stream of money. The new dorms are a ripoff, but Plaza 900 does have some amazing food. If you are social by nature and like meeting all kinds of people, then this school is for you. If you are shy and quiet, then this school is for you too; just dont intend to stay that way.
