UNC Chapel Hill: Tar-Heel Girl!!!
Ok lets make a long story short. Anyone who wants to go to UNC needs o be top of their high school class, the president/team leader of everything that they do, and they need to have a super rep. If you dont have even one of those things than you have asolutely no chance!sry its harsh but the truth

UNC Chapel Hill: View from an ex-Tar Heel
I attended UNC-CH as an international student, majoring in Public Policy. I chose UNC-CH because I loved the friendly atmosphere on campus while I was on a campus tour. Yes, most Tar Heels cooperate and help each other out easily, both academically and socially. The school makes you feel at home when you start off your college life, especially if you're from a small town. But, if you're used to city life, living in Chapel Hill can be a tough adjustment to that particular Southern atm...

UNC Chapel Hill: Tar Heel Born, Tar Heel Bred
For me, Carolina was by far my number one choice. Not only is it a great school environment, but the campus is amazing and the school spirit creates an autonomy you'll be hard-pressed to find anywhere else! With its beautiful huge oaks and neo-renassiance architecture you'll feel like you're in a movie about a college campus rather than on the actual campus! UNC was the first public university EVER and still remains at the top of the list when considering schools to go to. It's t...

UNC Chapel Hill: Something for Everyone
Since I was an in state student, UNC was the only school I applied to. Given the low tuition and the great reputation, it was an easy choice. There are a lot of oppurtunities here since UNC is a well-funded research univeristy, but you have to take the initiative and seek them. If you're not proactive, but want to make the best of college, you're better off at a smaller school where there may be less oppurtunities but they may be more visible and accessible.

UNC Chapel Hill: Chapel Thrill
What is most important to you? A small school where you know everyone and your professors call on you by name? A large school where you're continually meeting people and you can explore diverse new courses? UNC actually has both these aspects - it's been enough to be always exploring but in your major or other activities, you can get to know people really really well. The university really dominates the town, so there's a lot of space to grow. Another thing to consider: your dai...

UNC Chapel Hill: UNC-CH
There are over 600 student organizations and a thriving fraternity and sorority community on campus. Getting involved helps UNC seem more like a family andgives it a smaller, more cozy atmosphere. There's a lot to do, the campus is gorgeous (despite the construction which will make it even better!), and the diversity is growing.

UNC Chapel Hill: A Place to Belong
My advisor suggested that I go here. I said well do you really think I can get in, being that only 18% is accepted out of the state and he was like you know it’ll be a reach but you have a chance I said OK and got that baby blue package in the mail and I was on my way.

UNC Chapel Hill: College Basketball and Frat Parties
We do sort of describe Carolina as Greco-centric sometimes. You don’t really have to pay attention to it if you don’t really want to. I’m not in a sorority or anything. I know a couple of people who are – they really enjoy it. The houses are very nice, I’ve been there – the Frats throw pretty big, fun parties and I’ve gone to them so other than that I’m not really sure but I hear that they’re good for the people who are in them and they get connections for after graduation and they seem to all k...

UNC Chapel Hill: Southern Comfort
It is a difficult program but most of the people who get into UNC start off pretty smart so I mean it’s challenging but it’s not like overwhelming. In general it is a good school – it’s hard to get into – it’s very selective so most of the students who get in are top 10 percent of their class in high school so you get more of not necessarily the smarter people – but the people who academically challenge themselves more and put themselves out there so – it’s a bit higher.

UNC Chapel Hill: Balancing social and academic life
I wanted to be in a school that was known for it’s academics and also known for having a social aspect and I knew that UNC would be able to provide a really good balance between working and social life.

UNC Chapel Hill: Gorgeous
Chapel Hill is a college town – it’s pretty much all students and some adults live here but you don’t really see them around – the campus is like huge and Franklin Street is basically a part of the campus and like I lived on Campus for two years and I barely went off campus and I didn’t even notice because UNC is so big that you don’t even really need to go anywhere in the town of Chapel Hill.
