When looking at Richmond, it is easy to be overcome by the beauty of the campus and the quality of the facilities. There are plenty of thoughtful professors, staff, and other students. However, UR is a small school, and is not a place from which a student will benefit if they seek to wash into the crowd. UR is a really great place. Please don't be scared by the price tag- the financial aid here is amazing. They'll really work with you to make it affordable for your family. I know very few people who pay full price to go here. I love UR, and I think it is only going to improve in the future.

Come here if you are driven and aren't afraid to do hard work, but you like to party on the weekends.

University of Richmond: Completely Honest
The most overwhelming thing about U of R is definitely the price! When you look at this school, don't let their claims of having a great finacial aid program fool you. They automatically give $10,000 to each student, dropping the price to a mere $30,000 per year. They claim to have scholarships, but unless you are a genius or black, then you will not qualify. U of R has the most beautiful campus I have ever seen, and I looked at a lot of schools before applying to any. There's a lake in the center of campus complete with a wooden bridge and a gazebo on a little island in the middle, we have our own woods, and in spring the flowers are amazing. However, I recommend looking beyond just the beauty of the school when you come on a tour, because while the school is beautiful it is also incredibly homogeneous.
